Our Story
Our story is simple …we work to build stronger communities by bringing people, organizations, and communities together around a common focus and path forward.
United Way of Greater Niagara is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people in Niagara County by addressing critical human needs.
The organization is unique in that we collaborate with many partner agencies to affect positive changes in Niagara County and the Tonawandas as efficiently as possible. When non-profit organizations work together, not only can more good be accomplished, but also the cost of fundraising is dramatically reduced, leaving more money for what is important: helping people.
In fact, 85 cents out of every dollar donated to United Way goes directly to programs and services.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT & CEO
Dear Friend of UWGN,
It is an honor to serve as President of United Way of Greater Niagara, and I look forward to continuing the agency’s impactful and meaningful work with a staff who are committed and compassionate about supporting our partner agencies and the Niagara Community.
With a supportive Board of Directors who are represented by all areas of Niagara County, their participation is not only appreciated but has a great impact on United Way’s continued movement forward.
In addition, we are committed to diversity and inclusion. Our focus is making sure that all people are treated the same and understand any race disparities that exist in our community. We are committed to anti-racism and ethnic discrimination. We are in support of all the rights and outcomes for all people in society.
We continue to focus on our mission and strive to strengthen our impact in the Niagara County Community through relationships with small and large businesses, labor and the programs we support. Our goal is for everyone to reach their maximum potential.
