UAW Local 686 Presents Check to United Way

Lockport, New York, 2/21/24 – Through employee raffles at General Motors Lockport Operations plant, members of United Auto Workers Local 686 have raised $4,930 in support of United Way of Greater Niagara. This generous donation, in addition to employee payroll deductions and corporate contributions, will be used to support local non-profit programs that support the needs of local youth.

United Way’s AFL/CIO Labor Liaison and Campaign Coordinator, Bill Jakobi, “would like to thank the UAW Local 686, their membership and GM Components for their continuous support of the United Way Campaign Drive. Great example of giving back to the community we live & work in!”

United Way of Greater Niagara helps non-profit agencies secure the funding they need for programs serving local youth. To learn more, visit www.uwgn.org.
