Women United Hosts Hygiene Drive to Support Local Students

Women United of Greater Niagara is launching a Back-to-School Hygiene Drive to help local students start the school year with confidence and the essential personal care items they need to succeed.

The drive will collect hygiene products for distribution to local school districts to support their care closets, resource centers, and/or student support programs. Requested items include shampoo and conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, feminine hygiene products, lotion, and laundry detergent.

“Every child deserves to begin the school year feeling confident, healthy, and ready to learn,” said Joanne Beaton, President of Women United. “For many families, personal hygiene items can place additional strain on already tight budgets. Through this drive, our community can help ensure students have access to the basic essentials they need both in and out of the classroom.”

Donation drop-off locations include:

• United Way of Greater Niagara (6420 Inducon Drive W., Suite B2, Sanborn)
• Bank on Buffalo (7121 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls)
• ChrisFit (4600 Witmer Industrial Estates, Niagara Falls)
• Zero Gravity Gymnastics Center (6119 1st Street, Newfane)
• Rellim Hair & Makeup Studio (795 Center Street, Lewiston)

Women United’s Back-to-School Hygiene Drive aims to reduce barriers for local families while supporting students’ success throughout the academic year. Donations will be accepted through September 25.
