United Way of Greater Niagara to Announce New Focus at Annual Awards Breakfast

United Way of Greater Niagara will hold its annual Awards Breakfast and Campaign Kickoff on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 8:00 A.M. at Niagara Riverside Resort (7001 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14304).

The event, which serves as the official start to United Way’s annual campaign, will honor local individuals and organizations who continue to make a difference in the Greater Niagara Community. This year’s awards and honorees include the President’s Award to M&T Bank, the Norman Sinclair Humanitarian Award to Rachel Brennan, the Service Cup Award to Mental Health Association of Niagara County, the Shining Star Award to Maid of the Mist, the Joseph C. Weber III Think Positive Think United Way Award to Joanne Beaton, and the recently renamed AFL/CIO Russell Quarantello Community Services Award to Scott Jones.

Those in attendance at this year’s Awards Breakfast will also receive an exclusive first look at the agency’s shift in focus and how a new mission, vision, and website will help maximize donations’ impact on our community. We invite all local media outlets to attend and cover this announcement.

United Way would also like to thank the generous sponsors who make this event possible: National Grid; General Motors; Highmark of Western New York; International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers; Olin; Mutual of America.; Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls USA; Niagara County Community College, International Union of Operating Engineers Local 17, Morgan Stanley’s financial advisor Michael S.
